Efton Chism III, Monroe boys basketball

Chism, a senior guard, scored seven of his team-high 13 points in the fourth quarter as the Bearcats topped Jackson 46-42 in a Wesco 4A game.

Ethan Martin, Arlington boys basketball

Martin, a sophomore guard, drilled a 3-pointer with 1.9 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the Eagles to a 64-63 victory over Stilly Cup rival Stanwood in a Wesco 3A/2A contest. Martin finished with a team-high 21 points for Arlington, and the win snapped Stanwood’s 13-game winning streak and was the Spartans’ first conference defeat.

Jaxson Smith, Lake Stevens boys basketball

Smith, a senior forward, made six of the Vikings’ 10 3-pointers and finished with 20 points in a 76-74 overtime upset of Mariner in a Wesco 4A game.

Jenna Villa, Arlington girls basketball

Villa, a freshman guard, scored 18 points to lead the Eagles to a 59-52 win in the Stilly Cup over rival Stanwood helping Arlington overcome a cold shooting night (5-for-26, 19%) from 3-point range.
