Derby County are said to have agreed a loan deal with Aston Villa for England Under-20 international forward Rushian Hepburn-Murphy.

The 21-year-old spent the first half of this season on loan at Tranmere Rovers, scoring four goals in 17 games in League One.

And Football Insider say his loan deal at Prenton Park has been terminated to pave the way for a move to Pride Park.

Speaking about the January transfer window on Thursday, Rams boss Phillip Cocu said: "It has been frustrating in the fact we really tried to anticipate to get deals done early, but due to all kinds of reasons deals got stuck and we had to change targets.

"Now it is almost the end of the window.

"There is still a lot ongoing behind the scenes, but I still cannot confirm if any player will come in. That is the truth at the moment."
