NEW RESTAURANT: Deg’s Chicken now open in Fairfield Commons mall
by Mark FisherBEAVERCREEK — Deg’s Flame Grilled Chicken — which is on hiatus at The Greene — has opened a new location in the Mall at Fairfield Commons food court.
Alexis Stiver, marketing director at the Mall at Fairfield Commons, said the addition of Deg’s Flame Grilled Chicken adds to what is already a diverse selection of dining, retail and entertainment spots.
“We are excited to welcome another great option for our guests to enjoy while they gather and spend time with family and friends,” Stiver said.
The new restaurant moved into the food-court space that previously housed Gyro King, which shut down in June 2019.
In addition to grilled chicken, Deg’s also offers grilled wraps, sandwiches, salads, brown rice, mashed potatoes, corn and fries. Vegetarian offerings include mushroom and tofu wraps.
An employee of the Fairfield Commons restaurant said the fate of its companion restaurant at The Greene is unresolved.
Steve Willshaw, general manager of The Greene, told this news outlet Monday that the Deg’s Chicken restaurant at his center is temporarily closed for a remodel.
