Wolves unlikely to sign new striker?
Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be "unlikely" to bring in a new striker before the transfer window closes at 11pm tonight.
by Neil WilkesNuno Espirito Santo's side had been in the market for a new man up front to help ease the burden on top scorer Raul Jimenez, with one report this week suggesting that the club have been in talks with a "mystery" target over a late deal.
According to the Express & Star, however, Wolves are now likely to delay the move for a new forward until the summer transfer window instead.
The Midlands outfit had been linked with a move for former Norwich City striker Nelson Oliveira but refused to meet current club AEK Athens' £5.5m valuation.
Wolves did add Ecuadorian striker Leonardo Campana to their ranks earlier this week but he is initially expected to feature for the under-23s side before making the step up to the first team.
Portuguese winger Daniel Podence became the club's first major addition of the window yesterday in a £17m transfer from Olympiacos.
