Bruno Fernandes claims Ronaldo's success at United inspired him to join club
Bruno Fernandes has finally joined Man United and he revealed his international teammate Cristiano Ronaldo inspired his move to Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old signed a five-and-half years for a fee believed to be around £68million as completed the move before deadline day.
Fernandes played 63 games for Sporting Lisbon last season and has scored 34 goals creating 24 assists and will be a hand full for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when he makes his Premier League debut.
“My love of Manchester United really started when I used to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play and ever since then I have been a big fan of this great club. For me to now play for Manchester United feels incredible,” he said.
This will come as a massive boost to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who has had injury crisis in his squad especially to Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay.

The attacking midfielder could be making his debut in United's crucial Premier League clash with Wolves at Old Trafford.
Fernandes is a scoring midfielder who would complement Pogba in the heart the Red Devils midfielder to give Solskjaer more scoring options.
United have been struggling for consistency this season but the club is just six points short of the top four place behind Chelsea.
And a win on February 1 against Nino Espirito Santo's side will leave them three points clear of the Wanderers.
United crashed out of the Carabao Cup semi to rival Man City despite taking home a 1-0 win at the Etihad Stadium.
But the Red half of Manchester are still in contention for the Europa League and the FA Cup but are 36 points behind runaway Premier League champions Liverpool.
