Wildlife filmmaker Philp Dalton will reveal secrets behind BBC documentary
by Lewis ClarkeAward-winning filmmaker Philip Dalton will be sharing his spy creatures in Tiverton.
The filmmaker will present ‘A Spy in the Wild’ at the Tiverton Community Arts Theatre on Tuesday, February 18, at 7:30 pm. The event is being brought to Tiverton thanks to the Mid Devon Natural History Society.
Dalton has been making innovative wildlife documentaries for over 20 years. He has produced many award-winning programmes for the BBC and Discovery including “Penguins: Spy in the Huddle”, “Polar Bears: Spy on the Ice” and the BBC One hit series “Spy in the Wild”.
He will be explaining how 36 robot animals film a close-up view of wildlife in incredible TV safari with a baby gorilla, sea turtles, jaguars, hummingbirds and more.
His work takes him and his team to some of the world’s wildest and remotest locations in pursuit of extraordinary behaviour and animal stories. At the TCAT talk, Philip will tell about his globe-trotting adventures with tales from the bush involving phone calls from polar bears, being buried alive in butterflies and wading through snakes.
Philip’s programmes have received many awards from the Royal Television Society, BAFTA and EMMY award for cinematography.
