A spokesperson also said that firefighters are still at the scene dampening down the bus, with the cause of the flames unconfirmed.

It is not known if school children were on the bus or not.

"Police are assisting with traffic management."

Meanwhile, a body has been found in the search for Perth pensioner Michael McGannon - who disappeared overnight in torrid conditions.

Cops launched a search for the 73-year-old, who had last been seen at his home Iona Court around 9pm on Saturday.

And today, officers confirmed a body had been recovered from the River Tay in Fife.

The body was found near Newburgh around noon today - roughly 10 miles down the river from Michael's home.

Formal identification has still to take place but the pensioner's family has been informed.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
