Final two celebs confirmed for Dancing with the Stars as full line-up revealed
by Ciara WalshMary Kennedy and Aidan Fogarty have been confirmed as the final two celebrities for the new season of RTE's Dancing with the Stars.
The wait is over as the full line-up for season four of Dancing with the Stars has been revealed.
It was announced today on Today with Maura and Daithi that Television presenter Mary Kennedy and Kilkenny hurler Aidan Fogarty will join the line-up of Dancing with the Stars when it returns to RTE One on January 5.
Having graced our television screens for forty years Nationwide presenter, Mary Kennedy, is about to show the nation what she's really made of when she steps onto the dance floor this January.
Speaking about her participation in the hit television show Mary said: “I’m really looking forward to it, I’m quite petrified but I’m looking forward to learning new dances and doing something different.
"I’ve always been a fan and I’ve come out to watch the live show every year it’s been on so now it’s time to pony up and put my money where my mouth is...”
With eight All Ireland titles to his name, Aidan Fogarty is used to taking home his share of silverware but this time his eyes are on a much more shinier prize, the glitter ball trophy!
Speaking about joining the line-up Aidan said; “I feel really excited and really nervous. I’ve played in All-Ireland finals and I was coming up here today thinking I’d have taken an All-Ireland Final any day over this, but really excited and really nervous is probably the best way to describe how I’m feeling.”
The full line up for series four of Dancing with the Stars includes: Mary Kennedy, Aidan Fogarty, Brian Dowling, Michael Carruth, Yewande Biala, Fr. Ray Kelly, Grainne Gallanagh, Sinead O'Carroll, Lottie Ryan, Ryan Andrews and Glenda Gilson.
Jennifer Zamparelli and Nicky Byrne will reunite this January to present the new series of Dancing with the Stars. Airing on RTÉ One for 12 weeks from Sunday 5 January at 6.30pm, a total of 11 celebrities will partner with their professional dancers as they take on a brand new challenge and change their daily routines for dance routines. Each will be hoping to claim the much-coveted glitter ball trophy at the end of the series.
The couples will tackle a different dance genre each week from the Paso Doble to the Viennese waltz and will have just seven days to perfect their routine before performing it live to the nation.
Also returning this year is the fabulous panel of judges: Brian Redmond, Loraine Barry and Julian Benson. They will cast their expert eyes over the dancers each week and judge them on their performances. Once again the celebrities and their dancers will be scored by both the judges and the viewing public at home.
Dancing with the Stars will return to RTE One on Sunday, January 5 at 6.30pm.
