Police determine package was not suspicious

They were called to a Cambridge business on Saturday

by

A scare, that sparked the evacuation of several businesses in Cambridge over the weekend, turned out to be a false alarm.

Police were called to the area of Hespeler Road and Pinebush Road on Saturday for a report of a suspicious package.

Waterloo Regional Police Services Emergency Response Team responded and determined the package was not of a suspicious nature.

There are no concerns for public safety and the investigation is ongoing.
