Some people just can't help wanting to keep up with the Joneses, and if you're eager to take stock of your social standing, Tatler has produced a list of the new must-have status symbols.

The society bible noted the 2020s will do away with FOMO - the fear of missing out - and usher in JOMO - the joy of missing out.

The upper echelons will stand out, not because of what they do, but thanks to what they don't do, such as not driving, not drinking, not going out and not working.

According to the list, going to bed early is one of the truest symbols of wealth, because only the super rich can afford to sleep for eight hours at night.

Other status symbols include owning several passports - including a mandatory EU one - a pug, and a Big Green Egg BBQ.
