Ryan Cole pleads not guilty in arraignment hearing in Port Charlotte
by WFTX Digital TeamPORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — The man accused of killing a Port Charlotte teenager after breaking into a home was in court today for his arraignment.
Ryan Cole pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and burglary charges.
Cole’s attorney waived a speedy trial on both charges.
In September, investigators say Cole broke into a home and stabbed 15-year-old Khyler Edman to death while his 5-year-old sister hid in the other room.
Cole is due back in court on April 9th.
