Five alleged shoplifters were arrested in total at Bentley Bridge Retail Park yesterday and hundreds of pounds worth of goods were recovered.
Wednesfield Police tweeted saying: "The team have been busy today @BBShoppingPark.
"Five shoplifters arrested. One even jumped into the canal in a failed attempt to get away.
"Hundreds of pounds worth of goods recovered.
"Three of the offenders arrested were also wanted for multiple offences.
"Also big thanks to @ResponseWMP."
