Aspley man appears in court to face charge of burgling a house in the Broxtowe estate

A labourer faced court on a charge of burgling a house in the

Broxtowe estate

while having an offensive weapon on Friday.

Jake Seaford, 23, of Bell's Lane, Aspley was brought to a hearing of Nottingham Magistrates' Court.

District Judge Leo Pyle remanded him in custody and sent the case to Nottingham Crown Court. It is due to be heard there on January 8.

The allegation was briefly outlined by Lee Shepherd, prosecuting.

A bail application was made by Neil O'Sullivan, defending.
