adidas Football Throws It Back to 2002 With BOOST-Equipped Predator Mania Pack
Shoes for both on and off the pitch.
by Eric Brainadidas Football has unveiled a pair of BOOST-indebted sneakers for both on and off the pitch dubbed the Predator Mania.
Kicking off the pack is the Predator Mania sneaker, a full-length BOOST-equipped off-field sneaker complete with a hardwearing Continental rubber outsole for optimum levels of traction. Aside from its technical sole unit, adidas has constructed the sneaker’s upper from premium K-leather and has incorporated curved forefoot pads, too.
It draws heavily upon the 2002 original while bringing an all-new colorway, implementing a faithfully recreated design complete with silver-toned Three Stripes and a tongue cover. Elsewhere, you’ll find a heel cup adorned with ultraBOOST branding, a classic adidas logo on the rear, and more Three Stripe branding at the heel.
The Firm Ground Cleat appears in a rarely-seen colorway of bright red and silver also made from premium K-leather, which sports the curved forefoot pads and a long fold-over tongue. This cleat combines a thin layer of BOOST in its midsole with the traditional studded outsole — that come with a hybridized twisting and traction-enhancing system as standard — as well as an innovative injection-molded Controlframe that helps stabilize fast movements.
The off-pitch sneaker will retail for $250 USD and the cleat will retail for $350 USD. To purchase either of the adidas Football Predator Manias, head over to adidas.com where they will release on December 11.
In other news, Ronnie Fieg and adidas have teased a new rainbow-hued sneaker.
