Man and woman arrested in connection with murder of man in Leixlip last year

A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Co Kildare over a year ago.

50-year-old Clive Staunton was shot outside a house on Glen Easton Way in Leixlip shortly after 9pm on 15th November 2018.

Emergency services treated him for serious injuries at the scene, but he was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí arrested a man and woman today in connection with the investigation into the shooting.

They are currently being held in relation to the murder at Kildare Garda stations under section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
