The alarm was first raised to officers at 9.20am before they then made the grim discovery.

The scene remains taped off over 48 hours later with police officers still standing guard.

In one snap they appear to be handling evidence.

It comes as cops continue their probe into the mystery death.

On Saturday a Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Royal Exchange Court in Glasgow around 9.20am this morning following reports for concerns for a person.

“We can confirm that a man aged 40 has died.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained.

"And enquiries are ongoing."
