This is the staggering moment Boris Johnson took a reporter's phone to avoid a photo of a four-year-old boy being forced to sleep on a hospital floor.

ITV reporter Joe Pike has said Boris Johnson took his phone off him when he showed him a picture of Jack Williment-Barr, the four-year-old with suspected pneumonia forced to lie on a pile of coats on the floor of a Leeds hospital.

The incident came as he was interviewing the PM.

He tweeted: "The PM grabbed my phone and put it in his pocket."

Shadow Education Secretary Angela Rayner said the clip of Mr Johnson was an "utter disgrace", adding: "Do you really want this man running the country for next 5 years?"

Responding to Mr Johnson's reaction after being confronted with the picture Jeremy Corbyn tweeted: "He just doesn't care."

After his phone was taken, the reporter told him: "You've refused to look at the photo, you have taken my phone and put it in your pocket."

"His mother says the NHS is in crisis, what do you say to that?"

The clip shows the Prime Minister then apologised and returns the reporter's phone before admitting it was a "terrible photo".
