Millie Bobby Brown, Billie Eilish Honoured At PETA’s 14th Annual Libby Awards

Millie Bobby Brown, Billie Eilish and Juan Pablo Di Pace are PETA‘s top honourees following their 14th annual Libby Awards.

The Libbys, which is short for “liberation” as in “animal liberation,” celebrates stars and their fight for animal rights.

Eilish took home Best Voice for her online activism, especially her use of Instagram to spread awareness of the suffering minks that are killed for fur slippers and mink eyelashes. She also shares information about the sheep that are mutilated for the wool industry.

Brown, who recently launched her skincare and makeup line, Florence, which contain no animal ingredients and are never tested on animals. Thanks to Florence, the “Stranger Things” actress was awarded with the Best Side Hustle for Animals award.

Di Pace, known for his role on “Fuller House”, was named Brightest On-Screen Star for Animals following his role in PETA’s campaign against circuses. He also attended a news conference in support of California’s Circus Cruelty Prevention Act, which was passed into law.

“Billie Eilish, Millie Bobby Brown, and Juan Pablo Di Pace are showing the world how easy it is to help animals by making kind choices in what we eat, what we wear, and how we entertain ourselves,” PETA Senior Director of Youth Programs Marta Holmberg said following the awards. “PETA is recognizing them for using their star power to make the world a better place for all species.”

A$AP Rocky, Chloe x Halle, Ruby Rose, Kat Graham, and Harley Quinn Smith were also honoured. While Joaquin Phoenix was named PETA’s 2019 “Person Of The Year”.
