Jose Mourinho is considering to make a shock move for former Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini in January.

The Portuguese gaffer returned to management with Tottenham in October and has recorded four victories in five matches.

The 53-year-old's only defeat as Spurs manager came at the hands of his former employers United at Old Trafford.

According to French media outlet Les sport, Mourinho has been in contact with the Belgium international as his priority in the winter transfer window.

The 32-year-old left the Red Devils in January 2019 for Chinese Super League side Shandon Luneng after five-and-a-half years in Manchester.

Fellaini's present contract with Chinese side ends until December 2021 with an option of an additional year.

He has 12 goals and provided five assists so far with Mourinho hopeful of bringing him back to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Patrick Vieira has become Arsenal's number one target as a possible replacement for axed Unai Emery, reports claim.

The club legend was teammate with caretaker boss Freddie Ljungberg when they went unbeaten in the Premier League in the 2003-04 season.
