Cian Cowley vs. Sam Patterson booked for Brave CF 33

by

Cian Cowley will look to end a two-fight skid when he faces U.K. lightweight Sam Patterson on Dec. 27 at Brave CF 33’s end of year show in Saudi Arabia.

Sources confirmed the fight to MMA Fighting on Monday morning.

Cowley (2-3-0) transitioned to MMA on the back of a successful Muay Thai career and is best known as a key training partner of UFC superstar Conor McGregor. “The Warrior” has an even record under the Brave CF banner in four fights, 2-2, following to consecutive losses to John Brewin and Maciek Gierszewski.

The Irish fighter shot to prominence following his involvement in the bus attack following the UFC 223 media day in April 2018. Cowley was charged with one count of assault and one count of criminal mischief following the incident.

Patterson (4-1-1) rides a three-fight win streak into the contest. His sole professional defeat came against Hardeep Rai, who handed him a first-round TKO loss in his Brave debut. The English fighter has bounced back with three straight wins to earn himself a second shot in the Brave cage against the Irish fighter.
