Dubai Festival City to host big Christmas Santa Run

Dress as Santa and win top prizes on this 5k run

Santa has a lot of Christmas cookies, cakes and mince pies to eat when visiting all those who are nice in Dubai, and to prepare, he’ll need a bit of a run around. And you’re invited to do it with him, providing you dress up too.

Dubai Festival City will be hosting a big Christmas Santa Run this weekend for all those looking for a fun fitness challenge for the festive season.

Taking place on Friday December 13 from 7.30am onwards, Santas will be running around ‘The North Pole’ (AKA Festival City) with the backdrop of Dubai Creek.

The run will have a 5km distance for adults along with a 2.5km stretch for little ones of all skill sets.

Don’t have a costume? Not to worry, as entry will get participants a free Santa hat, beard and t-shirt, along with limited-time access to Dubai Festival City’s Santa’s Grotto.

Those who do show up in their own big red outfit will be entered into the best dressed Santa competition. Look like Santa the most? You’ll be in for a big prize.

Tickets are priced at Dhs119.05, and you can get them right here. Better be fast though, as registration for The Santa Run will close on Wednesday December 11.
