Arrest made after $13,000 in purses stolen from Pecanland Mall
by KNOEMONROE, La. (KNOE) - A Shreveport man has been arrested in connection with two shoplifting cases in Monroe in which more than $13,000 in purses were stolen.
According to an arrest report, 21-year-old Donovan Mosley was arrested on Dec. 9 for thefts that happened at Pecanland Mall.
Both Dillard's and Belk were hit, according to arrest warrant affidavits.
Court records state that Mosley was one of two people who walked into Dillard's on Nov. 22, cut anti-theft devices off of six Louis Vuitton purses, and fled the store with them. A similar incident happened at Belk around the same time.
$10,470 worth of purses were stolen from Dillard's.
$3,465 worth of purses were stolen from Belk.
The other suspect was identified as a 15-year-old Shreveport juvenile. Records state that the suspects have been arrested in Shreveport for similar offenses.
Mosley was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on two counts each of criminal conspiracy, felony shoplifting, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
