Uzhgorod stabbing: One serviceman injured

The conflict sparked between the military at a local army base.

Police Department in Ukraine's Zakarpattia region reported that a conflict had arisen between military servicemen at an army base in the city of Uzhgorod on December 8.

An altercation grew into a fight, where one of the military was stabbed.

A 52-year-old military was hospitalized on Sunday evening, the police press service said on December 9.

It turned out that a 31-year-old contract soldier stabbed the military at the military base premises.

The police have opened criminal proceedings into attempted murder. The attacker was detained.

Law enforcers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.

As UNIAN reported earlier, two people died as a result of a conflict between foreigners and local residents in the center of Odesa.
