A man was caught trying to enter the parliament building while the Winter Session was underway on Monday. He was detained by the security personnel and handed over to Delhi Police.

The police are investigating the matter.

The attempted intrusion comes in close to the 18th anniversary of the Parliament terror attack, which took place on December 13, 2001. Five terrorists had opened fire at the security personnel inside the Parliament premises. Fourteen people, including the five terrorists, were killed in the incident.
