Man found shot to death outside Knoxville apartment, KPD opens homicide investigation
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) — Knoxville Police said a homicide investigation was opened after a man was found dead due to apparent gunshot wounds outside a Knoxville apartment building Sunday night.
Tyrese Wyrick, 20, was found dead outside the North Ridge Crossing Apartment Complex on the 3800 block of Geta Road in North Knoxville.
According to KPD, officers received a call at 10:22 Sunday night about a body lying in the grass between the apartment buildings.
KPD said the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unknown. The investigation remains ongoing.
