Stephen Amell Shares a Heartfelt Message Following Crisis' Big Tragedy

by

WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for "Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part 1," which premiered Sunday on The CW.

During the first hour of "Crisis on Infinite Earths", The Arrowverse lost the hero whose series started it all when Green Arrow gave his life to save a great portion of Earth-38's populace. Now, Arrow star Stephen Amell, who has played Oliver Queen since 2012, has a message for fans following this loss.

"Keep me in your heart," the actor tweeted just minutes after the end of Supergirl.

During the climax of "Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part 1," The Monitor began teleporting the heroes present on Earth-38 away when he decreed the battle to save the Earth was lost. However, Oliver refused to go so long as there were still people to be evacuated and continued to fight the Anti-Monitor's Shadow Demons until his dying breath.

According to "Crisis" showrunner Marc Guggenheim, Oliver died so early in the crossover so as to both surprise the audience and establish the event's stakes. However, even though Oliver is gone, the heroes of the Arrowverse will continue to do whatever it takes to stop the Anti-Monitor.

"Crisis on Infinite Earths" continues in Batwoman on Monday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in The Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. After the winter hiatus, the crossover will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in Arrow at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
