The Royal FamilyToday, The Queen visited the Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) village to celebrate the charity’s centenary year. The charity supports Armed Forces personnel and veterans, and their families, as well as people who have been long-term unemployed. During the visit in Kent Her Majesty opened the new Appleton Lodge care facility and visited the Centenary Village housing project. The lodge provides care for residents as well as local people in the area. She also met RBLI Village’s eldest resident, 99-year old WWII veteran John Riggs, and his family. Finally, The Queen visited the RBLI Centenary Village, to see the completed first phase of the development, which includes specially-adapted apartments for wounded former military personnel. And she buried a time capsule which included a personal message congratulating the charity on their Centenary. The Royal FamilyHer Majesty The Queen hosted a reception to welcome Heads of State and Government of @nato countries to Buckingham Palace this evening. NATO leaders are in London to attend the NATO Leaders’ Meeting 2019. The Queen was joined by The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall as they greeted Heads of State and Government, and their spouses or partners, in the Music Room of Buckingham Palace before hosting a small reception in the Green Drawing Room. The Princess Royal, The Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester also welcomed NATO leaders, members of the delegations and NATO staff in the Picture Gallery. Ennek is meg van a saját procedúrája; az öltöztetője ugyanis kiteríti a királynőnek a ruhák vázlatait, amikből II. Erzsébet kiválasztja azokat, amiket fel szeretne venni karácsonykor. A kiválasztott ruhákat ezután kézzel leírják egy papírra, és kifüggesztik a folyosóra, hogy a szolgálólányok láthassák, és kikészíthessék a kívánt ruhákat a királynőnek.
The Royal FamilyThank you to everyone at Greenfaulds High School for the wonderful welcome on Day 1 of #HolyroodWeek2019! Her Majesty was at Greenfaulds High School in Cumbernauld, where students can carry out their education in Gaelic. Last year Greenfaulds won the Scottish Education Award for Gaelic Education – a considerable achievement for a school in the central belt of Scotland where Gaelic is not the main language.
