Xiaomi is hosting a launch event in China tomorrow, i.e. on 10th December where the company will be launching its much-anticipated 5G smartphone — Redmi K30. As the name itself suggests, it is a successor to Redmi K20.
While the Redmi K30 is getting launched tomorrow, its Pro variant, named Redmi K30 Pro is believed to get launched next year. Now, reports indicate that the upcoming Redmi K30 Pro smartphone will go official in March 2020.
Further, the report also adds that the smartphone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor, coupled with Snapdragon X55 5G modem. Earlier reports have claimed 120Hz refresh rate for the phone’s display.
As for the Redmi K30, the smartphone is said to feature a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display with a punch-hole cut-out for housing front-facing camera sensors. The device will come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security.
In terms of optics, the Redmi K30 will have a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor and likely to be aided by a 13MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP telephoto lens. On the front, it could have a 32MP sensor and a ToF sensor for 3D face recognition.
