Taking to Instagram, the new mother shared some more insight into her surrogacy journey after welcoming a baby girl in late November with husband Wes Quirke.

It’s been 24 hours since we brought baby Sophia home from Kiev, she’s settled in really well & has been getting to know her grandparents & furry big brothers 🤗🐾 Back when we began the medical & legal side of #oursurrogacyjourney in Feb 2018, we never dreamed that we’d be lucky enough to take our beautiful daughter home for Christmas the very next year ❤️ It’s a long, stressful, expensive process and there are no absolute guarantees. At the beginning of this year, we spent a few weeks in Kiev for the egg retrieval process & stayed beside St. Sophia’s Cathedral. The night before my procedure @victoria_clinic, we walked up to the cathedral in the freezing cold & @wesquirke took this photo... we both loved the name & agreed that if we happened to have a baby girl, we’d name her Sophia as a nod to our long journey to become her parents (it also comes from the Greek word for wisdom! 🙌🏼) So here we are! In a magical baby bubble at the most wonderful time of the year 🎄✨ We’ll be forever grateful to the many people who have supported, guided & helped us over the last couple of years - you know who you are ❤️
