Nominees for Best Original Score – Motion Picture are Alexandre Desplat for Little Women, Hildur Guðnadóttir for Joker, Randy Newman for Marriage Story, Thomas Newman for 1917, and Daniel Pemberton for Motherless Brooklyn. Best Original Song – Motion Picture nominees include Andrew Lloyd Webber & Taylor Swift‘s “Beautiful Ghosts” from Cats, Elton John‘s “I’m Gonna Love Me Again” from Rocketman, Kristen Anderson-Lopez & Robert Lopez‘s “Into the Unknown” from Frozen 2, Beyonce‘s “Spirit” from The Lion King, and Joshuah Brian Campbell & Cynthia Erivo‘s “Stand Up” from Harriet.
Other music-related nominees include rapper/actress Awkwafina for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for The Farewell.
Marriage Story, The Irishman, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, Joker, Knives Out, Rocketman, Big Little Lies, Barry, Mr. Robot, Killing Eve, Succession, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Russian Doll, Fleabag, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, Emma Thompson, Christian Bale, Joaquin Phoenix, Leonardo DiCaprio, Eddie Murphy, Scarlett Johansson, Natasha Lyonne, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Henry Winkler, and many others picked up nominations.
