Still not sure how to ring in 2020? Don’t you worry. We here at Coconuts have done the hard work for you, putting together a digest of all the coolest spots around Singapore to celebrate the dawn of a new decade.

Nearly all nightclubs in Singapore, and especially those in the Marina Bay area, are gearing up for their biggest parties of the year to bid 2019 adieu. Among them are:

Marquee

The Marquee nightclub at Marina Bay Sands is ringing in the new year with Dutch DJs W&W. Known for their 2014 breakthrough hit Bigfoot, among others, the duo was formed in 2007 and has headlined dance festivals around the world.

Tanjong Beach Club

Countdown to the new year by the beach and under the stars at Sentosa island’s Tanjong Beach Club. Sip champagne and boogie to funky tunes by DJ Andrew M while you’re at it.

Bar Rouge

Bar Rouge at Swissotel The Stamford is hosting an electrifying countdown party with a view of the annual fireworks display set to light up the Marina Bay area. Those coming for their “Electric Sky” party are expected to be dressed in midnight blue.

Monti

This might be a good option for party lovers with a taste for fine dining. Monti is welcoming 2020 with a special new year’s menu with highlights that include beef ribs and Agnolotti pasta served with truffles. The party starts at the stroke of midnight.

Super Loco

The Mexican restaurant-bar at Customs House is hosting a Gatsby-esque countdown party complete with four hours of free-flow alcohol starting at 8pm. You can also expect heaps of tacos from their taco station, as well as canapés.

Silent Disco

Enjoy dancing in a quiet environment? The Silent Disco party returns for a countdown this year at the Empress Lawn in front of the Asian Civilisation Museum. Three DJs will spin different tunes across three different channels, all broadcast directly into your personal set of LED-equipped headphones.

Haji Lane NYE Edition

The Kampong Glam precinct’s Haji Lane will be transformed into a funky town brimming with partygoers sipping on tequila and margaritas while dancing to old school hip-hop and funk music. It’s an outdoor shindig for those who prefer street parties to nightclubs.

If you’re not into parties but still feel like marking the occasion, there’s a host of concerts and performances happening at the end of this month that might fit the bill. 

The Star Island

One event that promises a variety of entertainment acts and a fireworks extravaganza is Star Island. Expect a 90-minute fireworks show, a 500-drone performance, and even circus acts, among others.

The Float @ Marina Bay

Uncle Ringo – Great Circus of Europe  

Daredevils, gravity-defying acrobats, and flying ballerinas will also converge at a Marina Bay Sands carnival ground to celebrate the final days of the year. 

Uncle Ringo, the organizer behind the neighborhood funfairs known fondly recalled from many childhoods, has roped in international talents from the Great Circus of Europe troupe. Expect heart-racing stunts by circus pros. Among them are four Colombian daredevils who will jump, skip, and vault in giant rotating wheels for a show called Space Wheel.
