Specman the only Blitzbok in Dubai Dream Team

by

Cape Town - Springbok Sevens speedster Rosko Specman is the only Blitzbok named in the Dream Team for the Dubai Sevens.

The Blitzboks won the tournament after beating New Zealand 15-0 in the final but it was only Specman who cracked the nod for the Dream Team announced by organisers.

Specman, who was also Player of the Final, made the Dream Team alongside two New Zealanders - Tone NG Shiu and Scott Curry, Australia's Lachie Anderson, England's Dan Bibby, Ireland's Jordan Conroy and Samoa's Tomasio Alosio.

Specman, who scored four tries in the tournament, said it was a memorable performance by the Blitzboks.

"It was such a massive honour to play with these guys again. It is such a great feeling to know that when you run onto the field with this band of brothers, nothing will be left out there.

"It is such a privilege to be able to express your God-given talent with a team like this. I play with a smile on my face because I enjoy every second of being out there. I love this game."

The Blitzboks now return home for the Cape Town Sevens this weekend (December 13-15) where they will contest a tricky pool alongside Fiji, USA and Japan.
