Finally, the release date of Deepika Padukone starrer Chhapaak’s trailer has officially been announced. A while back, the actress took to Insta and shared the official teaser of the film. Helmed by Raazi director Meghna Gulzar, the film is based on the real-life story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. In the film, Deepika will be seen portraying the role of Malti opposite Vikrant Massey. Now, the makers have announced that the film’s trailer will be out tomorrow.
A while back, taking to social media, Deepika Padukone shared a first look official teaser of the film and it doesn’t feature the actress in it. Announcing film’s trailer release date, Padukone posted a video, and wrote, “A moment is all it took... Trailer out tomorrow. She told a section of media, “It is actually a nice coincidence that our trailer is getting launched on the 10th of December, which also happens to be - Human Rights Day. Chhapaak is a story of acid violence. The basic act of acid violence violates the human rights of the person who is attacked by acid and their life, their physicality is changed forever. So I really couldn't have asked for better synchronicity for the release date of our film. So that's why the date of the trailer release is extremely significant.”
