LI dad Manuel Asuncion busted for driving drunk with son in back seat: cops

A Long Island man was arrested on Thanksgiving night for driving while intoxicated with his 6-year-old son in the back seat, police said.

Manuel Asuncion, 46, was busted after allegedly striking the back of a Nissan Rogue with two occupants at a McDonald’s drive-thru on 1240 Elmont Road in Elmont.

Cops said he was driving drunk with his son in the back seat. The dad was charged with DWI and endangering the welfare of a child and is expected to be arraigned on Friday.

No injuries were reported and the child was released into the custody of his mother.
