Wolves fans react online to Nuno Arsenal links after Emery exit

With the news that Unai Emery has been sacked as Arsenal's head coach, social media has been awash with speculation about who will replace him at The Emirates.

Wolves manager Nuno has emerged as one of the bookies favourites for the job, alongside former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri and Manchester City assistant Mikel Arteta.

But Wolves fans have been quick to express their contempt online.

Others have questioned why he would even consider leaving the Black Country for a club that is seemingly in decline.

Arsenal currently sit eighth in the Premier League without a win in seven games, while Wolves are fifth having just secured their advancement to the knockout stages of the Europa League.

While some have joked about the timing of the sacking with Black Friday looming.

When asked about the speculation earlier in the week, Nuno said, "you know me well enough and you know I'm not going to answer that."

Express and Star reporters Luke Hatfield and Joe Edwards discussed the news following Wolves' 3-3 draw with Braga on Thursday night.
