Leeds fans react to Mateusz Bogusz goal in Under-23s win

Mateusz Bogusz scored the winner for Leeds United’s Under-23s side on Friday afternoon – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter hailed him for his goal.

The Whites youth team secured a 2-1 victory against Sheffield United in the Professional Development League.

Ryan Edmondson opened the scoring in the second-half when he capitalised on a defensive mistake to tap in, but the Blades drew level just a minute later.

Bogusz then responded with a stunning free-kick just moments later that flew into the top corner and ensured three points.

The 18-year-old is one of the highly-rated talents developing at Elland Road and he once again showed his danger from set-pieces.

He’s a central midfielder that has an eye for goal and he’s knocking on the door of senior boss Marcelo Bielsa.

The Polish playmaker made his first-team debut for the Yorkshire giants earlier in the season during a Carabao Cup fixture against Stoke City and has been an unused substitute in five Championship matches.

A selection of Leeds supporters on social media were left stunned by the quality of Bogusz’s goal and some feel he destined for a big future.
