by

Shortage of funds is reportedly crippling the Bulawayo City Council from rehabilitating recreational facilities needed for various activities that may keep the city live.

Artistes recently complained over limited facilities to use in the city.

But BCC director of housing –Dictor Khumalo recently said  the challenge was capital to develop the infrastructure.

He said previously, they used to get profits from Ingwebu to provide social
infrastructure.

"What we don't have is the money to develop them at the moment. As you realised, the country is going through a very difficult and economic environment," he said..

"Previously, we used to benefit from profits from Ingwebu, we were using the profits from Ingwebu to provide social infrastructure."

BCC used to have youth centres dotted around the city which have now become desolate.
