Ex-Buccaneer Replaces Another As Coach

A former Orlando Pirates midfielder has been appointed in a new technical team role by a club in Zambia. 

At the start of the week, it was confirmed by Zambia club Forest Rangers that former Pirates midfielder Perry Mutapa resigned from his position as the coach of the side, along with his assistant Masautso Tembo.

Rangers, the former club of Pirates winger Austin Muwowo, have since appointed Isaac Chansa to their technical team as assistant coach.  

The ex-Buccaneer has been with the club as a player since January this year. Chansa had two stints with the Soweto giants – first in 2004 to 2007 and in 2010 to 2012 – before he left Mzansi.

The 35-year-old was part of the Zambia squad that famously won the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations under renowned French coach Herve Renard.
