Unai Emery's sack happened on Black Friday because the club would only have to pay half his contract, according to some Arsenal fans.
The north Londoners announced the sacking of the Spaniard a day after the Gunners lost 2-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League.
But Arsenal faithfuls had a different reaction on social media for the former Paris saint-Germain manager.

One fan felt sorry for Emery, saying: “I’m not even mad. It’s unfortunate it didn’t work.”
But another fan had strong words for the 48-year-old: “Get out of my club,” they said.

Others got the funny side of the timing of the departure of the Spanish boss.
“Arsenal sack Emery on Black Friday because they thought they’d only have to pay half his contract,” one fan wrote.
A second fan said: “Textbook from Arsenal to wait until Black Friday.
“30% discount on redundancy compensation.”
“Arsenal, the tight b******s,” they said.
“Trying to get a manager in on Black Friday,” a third held nothing back.
And a fourth added: “Best Black Friday deal ever.”
A fifth brilliantly suggested a better seal, writing: “Get 50% off.”
A sixth added: “Hats off Arsenal. Sacking Emery on Black Friday to get a discount off his payout.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Unai Emery's sack has brought about Nuno Espirito Santo being tipped to take over from the Spanish boss at the Emirates.

But the Portuguese manager has refused to comment on speculation linking him with the job after Emery was shown the door.
