Detectives investigating a serious sexual assault are searching for a man with a distictive tattoo.

Gwent Police is appealing for information after a woman in her 30s was sexually assaulted in Cripps Avenue, Tredegar, Blaenau Gwent.

The incident took place between 10.30pm on Saturday, June 15, and 12.30am on Sunday, June 16.

The woman is being supported by specialist officers.

The force wants to trace a man with a distinctive tattoo on his left forearm.

An artist's impression of the tattoo was released by Gwent Police on Thursday, with officers urging the man or anyone who recognises the tattoo to get in touch.

Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell camera footage from the Cripps Avenue and Cefn Golau area around the time of the incident.
