Black Friday has become a firm staple in the calendars of bargain hunters across the UK and this year is set to be no exception.

Thousands of shoppers will be heading to the intu Victoria Centre today as many stories and food outlets are getting involved, offering discounts and deals.

“While no longer a mad-cap hunt for bargains, Black Friday has become part of the UK’s Christmas shopping calendar, with the sales period kicking off many people’s festive experiences," said centre director Nigel Wheatley.

“This week has already seen the launch of some great deals from our retailers but there are even more offers available today and throughout the weekend, which we’ll also be promoting on our digital screens and across our social media channels too.

“Since last year, we’ve welcomed a string of new additions to the centre including popular beauty brand, Morphe, and health food restaurant, Clean Cut Kitchen, meaning there’s even more choice when it comes to Black Friday deals."

He added: "We’re also pleased to welcome back our life-sized toy soldiers who will be on hand to add a little something extra to the experience by spreading festive cheer."

The centre will be extending its opening hours today until 8pm.

25% off all Morphe and Morphe X products.

Included in the offer will also be the beauty brand’s new Electric Nights eye shadow pallet which now costs just £31.50, down from £42.

John Lewis & Partners

The are hundreds of deals on technology, home, fragrance and toys, with some additional prices lowered to match high street competitors’ Black Friday deals.

Included in this year’s deals are the Dyson v8 Animal Complete Cordless Vacuum Cleaner for £299 (RRP £399) and a pair of Bose QuietComfort Noise Cancelling QC35 II headphones, at £249 (RRP £299).

Boots

Top deals to look out for include over 40% off Paco Rabanne 1 Million 100ml (RRP £68, now £39.90) and Lady Million 50ml (RRP £64, now £37.50) with the chance to win a real gold bar with either purchase.
