Meghan Markle is crowned the most powerful dresser of 2019
Global fashion search platform Lyst has named Meghan Markle the most powerful dresser of 2019, and with the many incredible outfits she has stepped out in this year, it is easy to see why.
Lyst's Year In Fashion report tracks everything that happens in the the style world, gathering data from searches, sales and social media mentions. 104 million shoppers started their fashion search on Lyst and when they crunched the numbers, the Duchess of Sussex came out on top.

It seems the 'Meghan effect' is a very real phenomenon, as her outfits sparked, on average, a 216% increase in searches for similar pieces.
After she wore five different shirt dresses on the Royal Tour of South Africa, searches for the category grew 45% over a month.
The Club Monaco dress, which she wore when she met bishop Desmond Tutu, sold out in less than 24 hours, following a 570% spike in searches.

When she wore a J Crew skirt saw a 102% increase in searches for the brand; there is no denying that the duchess is highly influential in fashion circles. While Kate Middleton has a more classic style aesthetic, Meghan's modern looks have captured the imagination of many.
On top of coming out as the queen of style she also guested the September edition of British Vogue too.
